With so much relying on results in championship week ahead of the College Football Playoff selection show, Friday and Saturday did not disappoint.
While Georgia defeated Alabama for another SEC championship, three other teams produced long-awaited conference victories. Indiana won its first Big Ten title since the 1960s behind a Heisman moment for QB Fernando Mendoza. Texas Tech and Duke also won their conference titles on Saturday, ending longstanding droughts. Duke's win is particularly notable because it may allow two Group of 5 teams to sneak into the playoff while opening the door for the ACC to possibly be left out altogether.
Now, attention turns to the final rankings of the regular season. Indiana's victory over Ohio State likely means the Hoosiers will overtake the Buckeyes at the top spot, while the rest of the results will surely shake up the order.
The most serious questions in these rankings will involves where Alabama will sit after its third loss to the season. Notre Dame and Miami, both of which didn't play this weekend, got good results with the Crimson Tide, BYU and Virginia all losing.
Here's a look at the final AP and Coaches polls of the regular season.
