Andre Jackson had himself a great Monday.
The NBA season starts this week, and the Milwaukee Bucks' athletic forward just got paid.
According to NBA insider Michael Scotto:
"Milwaukee Bucks guard Andre Jackson Jr will have his $2.22 million salary fully guaranteed after winning a training camp battle, league sources told @hoopshype. Jackson is a versatile defender who earned the trust of Bucks coach Doc Rivers and started 43 of 67 games last season."

Jackson wasn't a lock to make this roster. But the Bucks ended up waiving Chris Livingston and Tyler Smith in favor of keeping Jackson.
He was the No. 36 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and has played 124 NBA games for the Bucks. In that time, he has averaged 2.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
The 6-foot-6 Jackson is one of the most athletic players in the NBA. When he leaves the ground, it's like he has rocket boosters in his shoes.

The reason Jackson isn't a sure thing in the NBA is his shooting. He's a 38.5% 3-point shooter on super tiny volume through his first two NBA seasons. Jackson rarely tries those shots because it isn't his forte, but maybe the small sample percentage will lead to him taking more shots from out there.
He's an impactful defender with his length and quickness, too, so he can be useful in the right role for the Bucks. They've decided to keep him around in hopes of continuing to figure out the best way to use him.
