Coward began his college career at a Division III school, then went to Eastern Washington, then Washington State. He was set to transfer to Duke but was so good in the pre-draft process that he never made it to the Blue Devils.

The Grizzlies took him No. 11 overall.

So far, Coward is averaging 13.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.

The way he moves around the floor is tantalizing. Coward very well may grow into a star, and the NBA's best players seem like they see it coming.
