The Cleveland Cavaliers were super shorthanded on Monday night. They didn't have Darius Garland, or Jarrett Allen, or Sam Merrill, or Lonzo Ball.

But they had Donovan Mitchell, and that was enough.

Mitchell dropped 43 points on Monday night to beat the Indiana Pacers.

Spida added nine rebounds and six assists. He put up 16 of his points in the fourth quarter to pull away from Indiana.

In the process, he made history.

Mitchell is averaging more than 30 points per game through the Cavs' first 20 games of the season. Only one player has done that before in Cleveland basketball history, and his name was LeBron James.

Really, there's nothing more impressive you can do as a Cavaliers player than join James in the history books.

LeBron is one of the all-time greats, and he was Cleveland's savior in the draft and then hero in winning a championship.

James might be in Hollywood now, but he's got company in the Cavs record books. Mitchell has been everything Cleveland hoped for when they traded for him from Utah a few years ago, and this is just another example of that.
