Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper is finding new ways to battle the aftermath of a long and grueling MLB season. In 2025, he played 132 games, marking his third straight year with at least 100 games played.
On Saturday, Harper shared his unique method to recover well during the offseason. Sharing a photo from the hospital bed, the first baseman provided a detailed explanation of a procedure called EBOO. It's a blood filtration and ozonation therapy that boosts overall wellness.
As part of this therapy, Harper had 1/3rd of his blood drawn out, exposed to Ozone, filtered and then returned to the body. In the caption, the former MVP highlighted the benefits of such therapy:
- Improve circulation
- Reduce inflammation
- Fight infections
- Support immune function
- Remove toxins
- Increase energy
He also gave a shout-out to Dr. Joshua Redd, who helped the first baseman through this procedure. Harper also mentions that he will post more videos about this for his followers.
Bryce Harper wants Kyle Schwarber to remain with Phillies
Bryce Harper and the Phillies were eliminated in the NLDS against the Los Angeles Dodgers, who became back-to-back World Series champions. With this, Kyle Schwarber became a free agent after a monstrous season involving 56 home runs.
Schwarber has been a key part of the Phillies' competitive resurgence over the last four seasons. Of course, with him, the team looks much better. Harper aligns with such thoughts and has already previously said that he sees him playing nowhere but the Phillies.
“I don’t see him playing anywhere else,” Harper said on Phillies Extra. “Obviously, I don’t make those decisions. But as a team leader and a captain and everything else, he brings so much value to our team.”
Several other teams, including the Boston Red Sox and the New York Mets, are also reportedly interested in the slugger. As such, it won't be easy for the Phillies to land Schwarber this offseason.
