The Philadelphia Phillies entered the offseason with one clear goal: re-sign Kyle Schwarber.
On the second day of the MLB Winter Meetings, they got the deal done, according to ESPN insider Jeff Passan.
Schwarber is back in Philadelphia on a five-year, $150 million contract. He's under club control through 2030, and locks down the Phillies' designated hitter spot for the next half-decade.
With Schwarber back in the fold, how does the Phillies lineup shake up for the 2026 season?
While there are still a few moves that could be made this winter to bolster the lineup, the current lineup is still in a decent spot for 2026.
Phillies lineup projection after Kyle Schwarber re-signs on $150 million deal
The Phillies' lineup, with the current players on the roster, would likely look as follows:
- Trea Turner - Shortstop
- Kyle Schwarber - Designated hitter
- Bryce Harper - First base
- Alec Bohm - Third base
- Brandon Marsh - Left field
- Nick Castellanos - Right field
- Justin Crawford - Center field
- Bryson Stott - Second base
- Rafael Marchan - Catcher
There are still some clear areas of change, namely with the catcher and right field spots, but for now, this is how the Phillies' lineup would likely project in 2026.
With JT Realmuto a priority for the Phillies to re-sign this winter, Castellanos likely being traded or released, and Alec Bohm the subject of trade rumors, this projected lineup will likely look a lot different at the start of the year than it does now.

But barring the addition of a top hitter, the first three - Trea Turner, Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper - will likely remain the Phillies' first three batters in 2026.
While there is bound to be some more change coming to the Phillies' lineup, adding Schwarber back into the fold makes things look a lot better than if he weren't in the lineup.
Schwarber's back on a $150 million deal through the 2030 season, and with Harper and Turner also signed through that season, the core of the Phillies lineup is together for the long haul.
