The round of 16 of the 2025 Grand Slam of Darts featured more epic matches and surprises, setting up what should be another good round in the quarterfinals.

The quarterfinal round will span from Friday to Saturday, with four more thrilling matchups to be played.

Here are my predictions for the quarterfinals.

Ricky Evans vs. Gerwyn Price

Winner: Gerwyn Price, 16-11

It's been a great week in Wolverhampton for Ricky Evans, but it might come to an end on Friday.

The format will get even longer as the quarterfinal round arrives, which should favor Gerwyn Price.

It's taken some strong efforts for Evans to get over the line at times, so he'll need a stronger performance on Thursday, assuming Price shows up and plays well.

Luke Humphries (1) vs. Michael Smith

Winner: Luke Humphries, 16-12

Humphries hit one of the greatest nine-darters we've seen in the tournament's history this past weekend against Smith in the group stage round. They'll now face off in a much longer game on Thursday.

Both have excelled in the longer format in the past, setting up a mouth-watering game.

Humphries, even playing through a small injury on Wednesday, looked to be in immaculate form, so he should have the edge over Smith, who is still looking to inch closer to his ceiling.

Unless Humphries has a drop in form, I think he'll have enough to beat Smith, who will try his best to keep up with Humphries' pace.

Danny Noppert vs. Lukas Wenig

Winner: Danny Noppert, 16-8

Wenig won the biggest game of his career on Thursday, beating Niko Springer in the round of 16.

He'll now face a much more experienced player, Danny Noppert, who is coming off a quality win against Michael van Gerwen.

Wenig shocked a lot of people with his continued success in the knockout stage, so maybe we'll see a bit of that magic again, but the long format will be a big test for a player with less experience like Wenig.

Noppert is seeking a third straight semifinal appearance at a ranked TV major, which would be his fourth overall of the year.

Luke Littler (2) vs. Josh Rock

Winner: Josh Rock, 16-15

Littler and Rock have begun a bit of a rivalry since their epic semifinal match at the World Matchplay this summer.

They have played very few times, but all of their matchups have been must-watch games.

The same should apply here, as long as Rock can meet the standard that Littler has set.

He averaged just 89.73 against Connor Scutt, but he should be able to produce a stronger performance against Littler, since elite competition brings the best out of him.

This one will likely go close to all the way, and it's about time that Rock gets over the line and beats Littler in what would be one of the biggest wins of his career.
