Get ready for some of the most electrifying sporting action of the year as Supercars speedsters look to tame The Mountain in this year's Bathurst 1000 Top 10 Shootout.

With all-important grid placings on the line, the best drivers the series has to offer will leave it all out there in one flying lap around Australia's most iconic circuit.

What time is the Top 10 Shootout?

While the action from Mount Panorama kicks off with practice sessions on Thursday, October 9, fans will have to wait until Saturday, October 11 for the Top 10 Shootout.

Beginning at 5:05 pm AEDT on Saturday, the top 10 fastest drivers from Friday afternoon's qualifying will duke it out for pole position in Sunday's race, which is due to start at 11:45 am.

Fans in Australia can catch every second of Top 10 Shootout action live on Fox Sports' dedicated Bathurst 1000 channel (Fox Sports Ch. 506).

There you'll be able to watch every practice session, qualifying, the Top 10 Shootout and, most importantly, the Bathurst 1000 on Sunday.

For free-to-air coverage, fans can tune into the Seven network, which will be broadcasting live action from Friday.
