Manly Sea Eagles are set to bolster their squad for 2026 with the signing of Sydney Roosters utility Zach Dockar-Clay.
According to News Corp, the 30-year-old is expected to pen a two-year deal on the Northern Beaches, filling a gap created by the departure of Jazz Tevaga and several others.
The Sea Eagles are preparing for a significant turnover, with nine players due to exit the club at season’s end. While their playmaking spine looks settled, with Tom Trbojevic, Luke Brooks and incoming half Jamal Fogarty in the frame, Manly have been keen to reinforce depth at hooker and across the middle.

Versatility through the middle
Dockar-Clay, who has experience across multiple positions, is not tipped to be the first-choice No.9 but will provide valuable cover and pace around the ruck.
Standing at 171cm and under 90kg, his smaller build could complement a pack that has often lacked zip through the middle third.
Manly’s struggles for speed in recent years have been well-documented, and Dockar-Clay’s inclusion is seen as a move to rebalance their physical profile. The club is expected to formally confirm his signing in the coming days, with his versatility set to be a key asset in the 17 moving forward.
