Semi-Final 2 of the 2025 National Rugby League (NRL) will see the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs host the defending Major Premiers, the Penrith Panthers, at Sydney's Accor Stadium.

The Bulldogs had a spectacular start to their 2025 season as they held the top spot on the ladder till Round 16. However, they then suffered a downturn in form as they finished third on the ladder after managing just five wins in the last 10 games. That lack of form was apparent in their Qualifying Final loss to the Melbourne Storm as they fell 26-18 at AAMI Park.

The Panthers, on the other hand, had a horror start as they were pinned to the bottom of the ladder heading into Round 12. However, they had a wonderful second half of the season as they took 11 straight wins, before ending the season with 3 losses in 4 games, ending up seventh on the ladder. Nonetheless, the defending Major Premiers showed off immense form in Finals Week 1 as they thrashed the Warriors in a 24-8 Elimination Final win.
