Hulking Rabbitohs prop Davvy Moale has reportedly agreed to join the Manly Sea Eagles from the 2027 season.

Despite having a year to run on his South Sydney contract, the Rabbitohs had granted Moale permission to negotiate with other clubs before the November 1 transfer window opens.

As reported by the Daily Telegraph, it is believed Moale has signed a lucrative three-year deal to join the Sea Eagles that will keep him on the Northern Beaches until the end of 2029.

There is also a chance the Rabbitohs may discuss allowing Moale to leave a year early and link with his new team for 2026.

Being granted an early release would feed continued speculation the Rabbitohs are positioning themselves to offer Titans star David Fifita a contract, should the Titans give him permission to leave.

Moale played 16 games for the Rabbitohs in 2026, with his form earning him a one-year extension.

Unfortunately, the front-rower injured his wrist in Round 20 and didn’t play again in a season punctuated by the NRL’s largest injury toll for the Rabbitohs.

Moale made his NRL debut for South Sydney in 2021 and, at just 22 years of age, still has a bright future ahead of him.

While his departure will test the Rabbitohs’ front-row depth, it addresses an immediate need for the Sea Eagles.

Manly will be losing props Toafofoa Sipley and Josh Aloiai in 2026, with both departing the club, while Siosiua Taukeiaho is also yet to be officially re-signed.

In an ageing middle-forward rotation, Moale not only supplies the Sea Eagles with a positional need, but also provides a much-needed injection of youth and potential long-term service through the middle.
