There isn’t much he hasn’t achieved in his time at the Brisbane Broncos and now Payne Haas stands alone as the most celebrated player in the club’s 37-year history.

The 25-year-old was crowned Paul Morgan Medalist as Brisbane’s NRL player of the year for a record sixth time on Thursday night, moving to the top of the club’s all-time list ahead of Broncos legend Allan Langer.

The award adds to a bulging trophy cabinet for Haas in 2025 that also includes Dally M prop of the year and an NRL premiership ring.

Haas, who also collected the Shane Webcke Award for Best Forward, will make his final appearances for the year in the upcoming Pacific Cup when he represents Samoa against Tonga and New Zealand.

The Allan Langer Award for Best Back was shared by Kotoni Staggs and grand final hero Reece Walsh, both of whom will be part of the Kangaroo Tour which departs for England next week.

Ben Hunt received the Wally Lewis Award for Play of the Year for his golden point field goal against the Canberra Raiders in week one of the NRL finals series.
