The NSW Blues may have lost the 2025 State of Origin series, but one player who can hold his head higher than most is Penrith winger, Brian To’o.

Last night To’o was recognised as the 2025 Brad Fittler Medalist in front of more than 500 guests in a ceremony at The Star Event Centre in Sydney.

Awarded to the best NSW player in each year’s State of Origin series—as voted by the players—it is the second time To’o has received the prestigious honour, following his first Brad Fittler Medal in 2023.

While the series result may not have gone the way he hoped, the 27-year-old proved a constant threat in all three matches, averaging 241 run metres per game and scoring five tries including an historic hat-trick in Game II in Perth.

To’o has now moved into equal first on the all-time NSW try-scorers list.

To’o was presented with his medal by Brad Fittler.

Proving he’s one of the most popular players in the game, To’o also claimed the People’s Choice Award, receiving more than 50 per cent of the votes from fans.
