Is Terry McLaurin playing this week? Latest news, updates on Commanders star's status for Week 4 vs. Falcons image

Through three games, the Washington Commanders have dealt with their share of injuries.

After losing franchise quarterback Jayden Daniels in Week 2, the team may now be without star wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who was hurt in Sunday’s win.

McLaurin is coming off a career year in 2024 and entered the season fresh off a new contract following a training camp holdout. The 30-year-old was expected to be Daniels’ top target, but both could be sidelined in the early part of the season.

McLaurin has been ruled out for Week 4, and he will not play against the Falcons.

What is Terry McLaurin's injury?

McLaurin's injury has been diagnosed as an undetermined quad injury.

The injury likely occurred in the third quarter of Washington's Week 3 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. McLaurin was dragged down at the end of a long reception, and the tackle is what appears to have caused the injury.

The play was ruled short of a touchdown, and McLaurin headed to the sideline. He did not return to the game following that tackle and was held out of Washington's next practices.
