The Philadelphia Eagles offense has struggled in recent weeks, and Monday night offered little improvement.
Against the Los Angeles Chargers, Jalen Hurts had one of the worst halves of his career, committing three turnovers in the first half. That included a bizarre play in which he actually turned the ball over twice on the same sequence.
Hurts is known for protecting the football, making it all the more surprising that he produced two turnovers on a single play. Here’s a look at how Hurts made the wrong kind of history.

Hurts had perhaps one of the worst statistical plays by a quarterback on Monday night. The Eagles quarterback threw an interception to Da'Shawn Hand, but Hand fumbled the ball on his return. It was Hurts who recovered the fumble, be he then fumbled the ball himself as he was fighting for yards.
