After six weeks without their WR1, the Kansas City Chiefs finally have their steadiest pass-catcher available on Sunday afternoon.
The Chiefs brought Rashee Rice back into the fold vs. the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7. The former first-round pick spent each of the opening six weeks on the sidelines due to a suspension related to a 2023 arrest that stemmed from a high-speed car wreck.
Kansas City certainly needed him back. The Chiefs limped to a 3-3 record without Rice in their ranks, far from the dizzying heights they achieved at the same point last season.
At his best, Rice is a spark plug, adept at turning Patrick Mahomes' efforts into lengthy gains.

Rust would be understandable. Rice was felled by injury in 2024, while Kansas City has struggled to find a rhythm with the ball in its grasp.
But if he can offer performances even somewhat reminiscent of his glistening rookie season, it would prove a big help to Andy Reid’s bunch.
The Sporting News tracked Rice’s performance in his return vs. Las Vegas on Sunday. Follow below for a closer look at the numbers behind Rice’s showcase.

He added a second one quarter later, corralling another Mahomes toss from short-range.

Rashee Rice highlights vs. Raiders
Rice produced fireworks from the opening salvo against Las Vegas. Although he wasn’t all that prolific in terms of yardage in Kansas City’s first drive, he found life when it mattered the most.

He was a steady presence in Kansas City’s attack in the 20 minutes or so to come. At the end of the first half, he struck once more, hanging onto yet another Mahomes throw from just outside the goal line.
