Just 10 days ago, the Eagles acquired Alexander from the Ravens in a trade to shore up their cornerback depth. However, Alexander didn't play on Monday night against the Green Bay Packers and apparently has reconsidered his desire to continue playing.

Alexander hasn't yet decided to retire, but it is under consideration. The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported that Alexander wants to focus on his physical and mental health, making it so that he could retire at some point in the near future.

Alexander has played for two teams in his NFL career, but he is most known for his time with the Packers. Green Bay used a first-round pick on Alexander in 2018, and the cornerback played seven seasons with the team as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL.
In the offseason, Alexander signed with the Ravens, but he played just two games with Baltimore this year. The Ravens traded Alexander to the Eagles before the trade deadline, but the cornerback has yet to appear in a game for Philadelphia.
