Jordan Mailata has never been one to mince his words.
The Philadelphia Eagles' enforcer was blunt in his assessment of his side's form in recent weeks, as the defending Super Bowl champions dropped back-to-back games to the Broncos and Giants.
In a media availability on Wednesday, the towering Aussie put the onus on the playing group and urged his teammates to go back to basics.
"Just got to want it is what it comes down to," Mailata said.
"Football is a game of inches - sorry, I’ve always wanted to say that - but you just got to want it.
"I think our focus hasn’t been there, quite frankly, to be really blunt.
"It’s something that we have to make a choice to every play and every down."
Mailata believes that their lack of effort shows up when they're watching back the film, signalling that they've found the answer to their woes, but that they just have to execute.
"The film. The film," Mailata said.
"You turn the film on, it’s just like, ‘OK, we weren’t focused here.’ I’m not going to sit there and ask why they weren’t focused.
"Just, ‘Hey, do your f***ing job, just do your job. Just do your job.'"
One of the hallmarks of the Eagles' recent struggles has been their inability to get it done on the ground.
Star back Saquon Barkley has been noticeably quiet in 2025, despite coming off the heels on one the greatest seasons from a offensive player in recent memory.
"It’s definitely an issue that we’re trying to correct as an offensive line because it always starts up front," Mailata said.
"But all we can do is come back to work and keep putting the work in and correcting it.
"I think if we establish a run game that will take care of everything."
The Eagles are on the road in Week 7, taking on a familiar face in quarterback Carson Wentz and the Minnesota Vikings at U.S Bank Stadium.
