New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers was dealing with a back issue before Week 1 against the Washington Commanders. Nabers played in that game for the Giants and caught five passes for 71 yards receiving and averaged 14.2 yards per reception.
Nabers didn't score a touchdown in the game against Washington, but he hopes to reach the endzone in Week 2 for the Giants. Will he be able to play in Week 2 for New York against the Dallas Cowboys?
New York Giants Head Coach Brian Daboll Provides Injury Update for Wide Receiver Malik Nabers
Jordan Raanan of espn.com covers the Giants and he attended head coach Brian Daboll's press conference on Wednesday before practice. Daboll mentioned that Nabers will be limited in practice for the Giants on Wednesday with a back injury. The Giants head coach does not seem to be concerned about his availability for the game on Sunday against Dallas.
Nabers has been dealing with injuries all offseason and now he is on the injury report for the second straight week despite being alright. The Giants probably want to limit his workload in practice during the week because they need Nabers during game days and he is extremely talented. Assuming the Giants star wide receiver players on Sunday against the Cowboys, it will be intriguing to see how he will do against Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs.
This could be a case all season where the Giants maybe limiting Nabers in practice with a back injury or for something else. There is no doubt that this will be monitored for the majority of the 2025 NFL season by Giants fans.
