The New York Giants fanbase was booing the team for its horrible performance during the 22-9 loss on Sunday night football at home against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Giants are 0-3 to start the season and it is the first time since 2021 this has happened.

When New York started 0-3 that year, they cleaned house, and they are on the verge of starting over once the 2025 NFL season ends. This is the third time in six games that they have started 0-3. There are many things wrong with this organization. The home opener for the Giants has not felt the same as it has in year's past. Is this franchise losing fans? Is owner John Mara out of touch? Does he need to sell the team in order for this franchise to turn the page?

New York Giants Fans Want John Mara to Sell the Team

Mara is 70 years old, and this has been a family like business forever. Well, the Giants cannot keep operating like a family run business if they want to actually be a good football operation once again and get fans back. Fans are checking out once again before the month of October hits. The 2011 Super Bowl title feels like it was 50 years ago instead of it just being 14 years ago.

There are many New York fans who feel like they are never going to be a proven winner again until he sells the team. This fanbase is knows Mara is a major problem and continue to express their frustrations on social media.

The bad teams in the NFL stay bad because of poor ownership. The Giants continue to draft poorly, coach poorly, and develop players poorly. This is why players like Saquon Barkley, Daniel Jones, Xavier McKinney, and others are having success elsewhere.

Dexter Lawrence and Malik Nabers are already growing frustrated with this team after another 0-3 start. It makes fans wonder if there is really light at the end of the tunnel anytime soon for this franchise. There is a real chance that this team is 1-16 or 0-17 with the way things are turning out for them right now. If this happens, maybe Giants fans will put immense pressure on Mara to finally sell the team to someone who cares about winning.
