Trey Lance highlights

Lance set the tone early with a touchdown on the Chargers' opening drive after getting a short field off of a turnover. The quarterback found tight end Will Dissly in the back of the end zone for the score.

Perhaps Lance's best pass of the night was an early completion to KeAndre Lambert-Smith down the sidelines.

Lance then produced a second touchdown on the night, this time an accurate strike to Lambert-Smith in the middle of the field.

Herbert is cemented as the Chargers' starter, with veteran Taylor Heinicke behind him on the current depth chart. Lance comes in as the third-string quarterback, but maybe a strong preseason will allow him to surpass Heinicke.
