Kelvin Joseph arrest: Latest updates on fatal DWI accident involving former Cowboys cornerback image

Former Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph was arrested and charged with DWI after being involved in a fatal collision on Saturday morning, according to Pro Football Talk.

At approximately 5:39 a.m., Joseph called police in Plano, Texas to report that he had been involved in a crash. Police in Richardson, Texas arrested Joseph after observing signs of intoxication.

Joseph currently plays for the D.C. Defenders of the UFL in the XFL division. He was drafted by the Cowboys in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft and played for the team for two seasons. He later played for the Dolphins, Seahawks and Colts.

Richardson police were called to a motorcycle crash on a Dallas-area highway around 5 a.m. A 27-year-old female motorcyclist, Cody Morris, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were present.

After police connected Joseph to the accident, he was arrested and admitted into the Richardson city jail at roughly 7:45 a.m. He faces the misdemeanor DWI charge and a felony charge of collision involving death.

Joseph played in two games for the Colts last season, seeing action on 36 special teams snaps. He was traded from the Cowboys to the Dolphins before the 2023-24 season.
