During the first four games of the 2025 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys defense has been abysmal. They have given up 30 or more points in three of the four games.
Dallas has a 1-2-1 record this season. They lost Micah Parsons in a trade to the Green Bay Packers before the 2025 NFL season. The Cowboys have also had various injuries on the defense. DaRon Bland missed a couple of games and now Malik Hooker is also injured in the secondary. This team also struggles at getting after the quarterback. There is no doubt that this team is going to need to address the defensive side of the football in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Dallas Cowboys Draft Defensive Tackle in Latest Mock Draft
Blake Brockermeyer of CBS Sports created his latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft. He has the Cowboys selecting 11th overall at the current moment. With that selection, he has Dallas selecting defensive tackle Zxavian Harris from the Ole Miss Rebels. Brockermeyer said about this selection,
"Harris is a giant and disruptive defensive tackle who moves well for his size with excellent lateral quickness and length. He's good at block recognition and has the ability to find the path of least resistance. He has powerful hips at the point, and his ability to match the hand with his length is a weapon when he can't get home. Coaches rave about his work ethic."
Trying to improve the defensive line would be a good start for Dallas. There is a very good chance that this team will focus on the defensive side of the football in 2026 NFL Draft.
Harris is 6'7" and weighs 320 lbs. So far this season with the Rebels, he has recorded 23 tackles, two sacks, one interception, and one pass deflection. Dallas is going to own two first-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft because of the Parsons trade with Green Bay. Drafting a defensive tackle like Harris and also addressing other needs on defense would be a good start for them.
