The Cleveland Browns during the 41-17 loss against the Baltimore Ravens decided to pull quarterback Joe Flacco for rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel late in the game. Well, after the game, head coach Kevin Stefanski was asked about who would potentially start in week three against the Green Bay Packers.
On Monday afternoon, Daniel Oyefusi of espn.com reported that the Browns are going to start Flacco in week three against the Packers over Gabriel. This is right move for Cleveland whether fans want to admit or not. Green Bay has one of the best defenses in the NFL. Starting Gabriel against an elite defense would not be a smart move for this franchise.
Cleveland Browns Fans are Not Happy with Joe Flacco Starting Once Again
A lot of Browns fans are not happy that Flacco is going to be starting in week three against the Packers. More frustration from Cleveland's fanbase was shown on Twitter after this news was reported.

Joe Flacco: 41.1 PFF grade on 66 snaps.
Rookie comes in for garbage time, throws his first NFL touchdown, and outgrades the veteran by 48 points. Stefanski says no QB change is coming, but those numbers tell a different story.
I’ve seen a decent amount of noise about benching Flacco and while I’m not here to argue Joe has been good, three of the next four games are away from Cleveland and all four of those teams made the playoffs last year. The soonest we’ll see Gabriel I think is week 7 vs Miami.

If Flacco struggles once again next week against the Packers, there is a very good chance that Stefanski can turn to Gabriel to a start in week four against the Detroit Lions. Detroit doesn't have an elite defense like Green Bay does. This is probably why Stefanski is starting the veteran quarterback for another week. This won't be the last time that Stefanski will be asked by the media this season about a potential quarterback controversy.
