The #17 Texas Tech Red Raiders will head on the road this weekend to face the #16 Utah Utes in the opening BIG12 conference matchup. Texas Tech and Utah are both 3-0 to start the season and kickoff for this game will be at NOON ET on FOX.

The offense has scored 45 or more points in the first three games of the 2025 college football season. The Red Raiders offense has a chance to put up a bunch of points once again against a very good Utes defense in week four.

One Impressive Stat Shows That the Texas Tech Red Raiders have one of the best offenses in the Country

Tom Fornelli of cbssports.com was making his best bets of week four of the 2025 college football season. He believes that over 57.5 total points are going to be scored in this football game. There is a key stat that he mentioned about the Red Raiders offense. Fornelli said,

"Texas Tech is second in the country in explosive play rate on offense, trailing only USCBehren Morton has been phenomenal, and Coy Eakin has been a big-play machine. This offense is far and away the best one the Utes have seen and will present some tremendous challenges. We saw Utah's defensive front overwhelm UCLA to open the season, but I'm not sure it can do that here. Tech's offensive line isn't elite, but it's solid, particularly in pass pro."

During the first three games of the season, the Red Raiders are averaging 602.7 yards per game which is the best in the BIG12. They average 387.7 yards per game in the air and 215.0 yards per game on the ground.

Behren Morton has completed 70.4% of his passes for 923 yards, 11 touchdowns, and one interception. Adam Hill has rushed for 207 yards on 24 carries and zero touchdowns, along with averaging 8.6 yards per carry.

This offense has the chance to score a bunch of points once again against the Utes. If the Red Raiders have another elite offensive performance on the road in a win, then Texas Tech has the chance to be a serious contender to make the playoffs this year.
