The San Antonio Spurs selected Arizona forward Carter Bryant with the 14th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft on Wednesday night.
Bryant, a 6-foot-7 freshman from Riverside, California, played one season for the Wildcats, appearing in 37 games with five starts. He averaged 6.5 points on 46% shooting, 4.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 blocks and 0.9 steals per game, while connecting on 37.1% of his three-point attempts.
A consensus four-star recruit out of Centennial High School in Corona, Bryant was rated among the top power forwards in the 2024 recruiting class and was selected to both the McDonald’s All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic. Known for his athleticism and defensive versatility, Bryant projects as a modern 3-and-D wing with upside for further offensive growth.

“Carter Bryant is a player who proves that traits matter in draft conversation, along with the ability to fill a role,” NBA draft analyst James Fletcher wrote in May. “While he did not star in his freshman season, he delivered what was asked off the bench and showcased a baseline value which many NBA teams value for the position. Upside is also present for one of the youngest wings in class.”
Bryant joins a Spurs team that continues to build around young talent, including Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle. San Antonio is expected to feature both of its 2025 lottery picks in the upcoming NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, which begins July 10.
