Australia could soon have their first-ever NBA head coach, with current Wizards assistant Adam Caporn being reportedly considered for a lead role in the league.
Caporn was recently named as the newest coach of the Boomers, and could soon make further Australian basketball history, currently being linked with the vacant Phoenix Suns head coach role.
The 43-year-old has extensive coaching experience across the NBA, G League, and in Australia, all of which has primed him as the possible successor to the Kevin Durant-led Phoenix side.

Adam Caporn reportedly considered for Phoenix Suns head coach position
The next NBA vacant head coaching position could be filled by an Australian, with HoopsHype's Michael Scotto reporting that Adam Caporn has drawn interest from the Phoenix Suns to become their next head coach.
This comes just months after Caporn was named as the newest Australian national team coach, following in the footsteps of Brian Goorjian.
"Washington Wizards assistant coach Adam Caporn is among those expected to draw consideration for the vacant head coaching position for the Suns," Scotto wrote.
Caporn spent the last season as an assistant in Washington - before this he served as an assistant for the Brooklyn Nets, was the head coach of G League team the Long Island Nets, as well as spending time at both the AIS Centre of Excellence and with former college St. Marys.
The Australian also had a six-year playing career in the NBL, split between the Wollongong Hawks and the Perth Wildcats.
