The Oklahoma City Thunder are the 2025 NBA Champions, taking down the Indiana Pacers in seven games to complete a dominant season.

A key part of this title run was Alex Caruso, a veteran presence and lock-down defender who the Thunder gained in an off-season trade for Australian guard Josh Giddey.

As his former squad realised their goals, Giddey sent out a message to the team that drafted him with the sixth pick in 2021.

Chicago Bulls point guard Josh Giddey has sent a message to his former Thunder teammates, after they downed the Indiana Pacers to claim the franchise's first NBA Championship.

Following the game, he shared the Thunder's Instagram post to his story, congratulating their success.

"Congrats to the guys," Giddey wrote.

The 22-year-old wasn't the only former Thunder teammate to celebrate their success, with Tre Mann posting to X, formerly Twitter, saying "my boys".

Giddey was traded by OKC to Chicago during the previous off-season, and after a rough start in the Windy City he came into his own in the second half of the year, finishing with averages of 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game.
