The Pacers couldn't miss in the first half of Game 4 against the Cavaliers on Sunday, and made some NBA playoff history in the process.

Indiana led 80-39 after two quarters to match the largest halftime lead in NBA postseason history. It was also tied for the fourth-highest scoring first half in NBA playoff history.

The Pacers scored an astounding 30 points in the paint and went 12-of-18 from beyond the arc. Combined with a struggling Cavaliers team, Indiana had one of the most dominant offensive halves in recent memory.

These NBA playoffs just had another incredible first-half performance on Wednesday, when the Thunder scored an NBA playoffs record 87 points against the Nuggets.

Pacers tie NBA playoff record vs. Cavaliers

Indiana led 80-39 at halftime on Sunday against the Cavaliers. The 41-point advantage is tied for the largest halftime lead in NBA playoff history.

The Cavaliers led the Celtics 72-31 at halftime of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals in 2017.

Most points in a half in NBA playoff history

The Pacers also became the ninth team to score 80 points in a half in a playoff game and the fourth team to do so in a first half. With their showing, they tied for the fourth-highest scoring first half in NBA playoff history.
