As the NBA off-season nears, Kevin Durant's name is one that will no doubt dominate the headlines, with the Phoenix Suns likely to explore a trade for the 36-year-old.
In recent weeks, Durant has been linked to a host of teams including the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, and New York Knicks, but according to new reports, two more teams are set to enter the KD sweepstakes.

Heat, Timberwolves emerge as suitors for Kevin Durant
The Suns, who canvassed the league for a trade partner at February's deadline, will likely look to move on from the two-time champion, with Durant entering the final year of his deal next season.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves are likely to have interest in trading for Durant in the summer.

The Timberwolves, who are currently competing in the NBA playoffs as they look to advance to the Western Conference Finals for a second consecutive season, aggressively pursued Durant at the deadline.
“Another small market team to watch — the Minnesota Timberwolves, ESPN's Brian Windhorst said on Get Up in March.
"Anthony Edwards and KD have a very tight connection, also from the Olympics. The Timberwolves tried to pull off a crazy trade at the deadline for KD. Look for them to revisit those talks this summer.”

Meanwhile, the Heat will be looking to reinvigorate their roster after a disappointing finish to the season, being swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the postseason.
After losing their franchise player in Jimmy Butler in a deal that sent him to the Warriors following a fallout with Miami President Pat Riley, the Heat could put together a compelling package of young players and draft picks to send to the Suns for the 15-time All-Star, with Riley not against making a move for an aging star.
Pat Riley says that “I still think an aging player can play” and that the Heat would be open to pursue one.

"I think an aging great player, who may not be able to carry a team together, can rise to the occasion in the playoffs," Riley said.
"I still think that an aging player can play. Look at LeBron [James]. I mean, look at these players. It’s incredible. Players like LeBron and others who have played into their mid to late 30s and produced at a high level can help teams win championships. You have to pick out the right one, but I’m not against that, no."
