Josh Giddey and Dyson Daniels grew up hooping with each other from Victorian juniors, through to the NBA Global Academy, and now plying their trade on the biggest stage in the NBA.
The Australian Boomers teammates are now teaming up again, along with fellow Boomer Chris Goulding — this time to bring the ultimate basketball destination to Melbourne, for juniors right through to NBA players.
"CourtSide is all about bringing the energy of elite basketball to the public - right here in my hometown," Giddey said.
"I’m pumped for Melbourne to experience something Australia’s never seen before."
The 10,000 square metre complex is headlined by the high-performance basketball facility, Hoop City, the gym where Giddey, Daniels, and many other Aussie NBA stars train in the off-season.
Featuring recovery facilities, including saunas, hot and cold baths, and wellness offerings, CourtSide aims to provide a one-stop shop for athletes, along with world class shopping experiences, featuring boutique stores, with exclusive sneaker drops from Jordan, Nike, New Balance, and the first Vouseti store — Daniels' own clothing brand.

"I’m really proud to be part of CourtSide. It’s a one-stop shop that’s so much more than just basketball. We can’t wait for everyone to check it out in just a couple of weeks." Daniels added.
Beyond that, CourtSide aims to become the home for Australia's national teams and visiting professional teams, starting with the New Orleans Pelicans pre-season tour.

"We hope to make this the home of the Boomers and the Opals when they're doing their training camps and those sorts of things," CourtSide co-founder Chris Moore told Sporting News Australia.
"The Pelicans are locked in here for when they're out to do all their training when they're here for the games. We hope to do the same for the Boomers and the Opals."
The facility is set to open in Port Melbourne in July 2025.
