Australia has added to its list of NBA Champions, after the Oklahoma City Thunder won the 2024-25 title
The country was assured of a title winner during this finals, with Johnny Furphy and the Indiana Pacers taking on Alex Ducas and the Oklahoma City Thunder, but is was Ducas' team who was successful, gritting out the win after a seven-game thriller.
Ducas now joins an exclusive club of Australian players, started by Luc Longley all the way back in 1994.
How many Australians have won an NBA Championship?
Only nine Australians have ever won an NBA title, with Alex Ducas adding to the list following Oklahoma City's win Monday.
Luc Longley was the first Aussie to claim the NBA's greatest honour, and is the only one to win multiple titles, a key piece of the Chicago Bulls' late-90s three-peat.
