Detroit Tigers prospect outfielder Max Clark is the second-ranked prospect in the Tigers farm system and is also the ninth ranked prospect in the Top 100 on mlb.com. Clark has played for the Western Michigan Whitecaps in High-A and the Erie Seawolves in Double-A.
On Wednesday, Clark hit another home run for Erie against the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox Double-A affiliate).

With Clark hitting another home run for Erie, is there a chance that the Tigers could be promoting him to Triple-A or the MLB level anytime soon?
Detroit Tigers Prospect OF Max Clark Inching Closer to Potential Promotion
Clark was the third overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, and the 2023 MLB Draft is shaping the future of this Tigers organization. With Clark hitting another home run for Erie on Wednesday night, he is potentially inching closer to a promotion, but there is a chance that he may have to wait until 2026 to play for either the Toledo Mud Hens in Triple-A or the Tigers at the MLB level.
Jim Bowden of the Athletic has Clark as the fourth-best prospect in the MLB in his Top 50 prospect rankings list. Bowden said about the Tigers prospect outfielder,
"Clark leads all prospects in both swag and style and will be a fan favorite when he arrives in Motown thanks to his positive and energetic personality. Clark is a true center fielder with double-plus range in all directions and the arm strength to match. He is a top-of-the-order table-setter: He knows how to get on base, can steal a bag, and can score from first on a double with his aggressive approach on the bases. He has average power now, but I believe he will eventually have plus power. To think the Tigers will soon have McGonigle and Clark creating traffic for Riley Greene, Spencer Torkelson and Kerry Carpenter. Tigers fans should be excited."
Clark and shortstop Kevin McGonigle will most likely finish the season with Erie. The Seawolves are in the Eastern League playoffs once again and Erie is trying to win a third straight title. Detroit probably wants Clark and McGonigle to grow together as teammates throughout the minor league system.
He is only 20 years old and hits left-handed and also throws left-handed. In 104 games played in the minors this season, Clark has a .273 batting average with 13 home runs and 61 RBIs, along with 19 stolen bases. His on-base percentage is .410. The 20-year-old outfielder has a bright future ahead of him in Detroit. A potential promotion is close for the 20-year-old outfielder, but it won't be until 2026 where he will start in either Triple-A or with the MLB team.
