Things are heating up in the spring racing carnival, with all roads leading towards the $8 million Melbourne Cup on the first Tuesday of November.

Some of the best stayers from Australia and abroad will compete in the 3200m event at Flemington, with the final field and barrier draw now decided.

When is the Melbourne Cup?

This year's Melbourne Cup will be held on Tuesday, November 7th from Flemington Racecourse.

The feature event on a 10-race card will jump at approximately 3pm AEDT.
