The world's richest race on turf returns for another edition this weekend, with the running of the $20 million TAB Everest at Royal Randwick. 

Ka Ying Rising, the David Hayes-trained, Hong Kong-based sprinting superstar will be looking to overcome some of Australia's best speedsters.

When is The Everest 2025? Date, start time

The Everest is scheduled for Saturday, October 18

As the seventh race of a 10-race card at Randwick, it is slated for a 4:15 pm AEDT start time.

Where is The Everest held?

The Everest will again be run at Randwick Racecourse in Sydney’s east.

The track is roughly six kilometres from the Sydney CBD and is one of the city’s most iconic racing venues.

How to watch The Everest 2025: TV channel, live stream

Channel 7 will again show the race on free-to-air TV, with live coverage set to begin from midday, with the majority of races from Randwick featured. 

Fans can stream the Channel 7 broadcast via the network's free-to-use platform 7plus.

Sky Racing will also broadcast the big race, as they have in previous years.

The Everest 2025 prize money

The total prize money for The Everest has remained at $20 million for 2025, retaining its spot as the world's richest race on turf.

The winner will take home $7 million, while connections from the bottom half of the race will receive $700,000 each.
