Formula One is back and bigger than ever in just a few hours' time, as the 2024 season begins at Bahrain's International Circuit in Sakhir.

With three-peat world champion Max Verstappen expected to set the pace following his win in the 2023 race which set up one of the most dominant campaigns in F1 history, the onus is on the remaining 19 drivers to prevent him from making another fast start as free practice sessions one and two get underway on Thursday, February 29.

This race, alongside the following Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, will take place on a Saturday rather than the usual Sunday in order to accommodate the beginning of Ramadan in the Middle East, kicks off a bumper 2024 season featuring a record 24 races across a 10-month calendar.

As Formula 1 returns for its most wide-reaching season yet, The Sporting News has the opening weekend covered for you, with all the session times, TV coverage and streaming services detailed below.
