When and where is the 2026 UEFA Champions League final? Date, venue, changed kickoff time for showpiece image

Paris Saint-Germain won their first UEFA Champions League trophy in style last season, trouncing Inter Milan 5-0 in the final.

Munich's Allianz Arena was the stage for a dazzling performance for Luis Enrique's side, one of European football's great venues.

The draw for the league phase of the 2025/26 competition takes place this week, with 36 set to learn their initial route on a possible path to glory.

This year's final destination will break new ground for Europe's top club competition.

Where is the 2026 UEFA Champions League final?

The 2026 Champions League final will be at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary.

The stadium was rebuilt after the demolition of the Ferenc Puskas Stadium in 2016. Both venues were named after former Hungary and Real Madrid great Ferenc Puskas.

Hungary's national team play their home matches at the Puskas Arena, which also hosts Hungary's Magyar Kupa final annually. It has a capacity of 67,000 spectators.

During the 2020/21 Champions League and Europa League competitions, which were played with various coronavirus protocols still in place in, the Puskas Arena was used as a neutral venue to facilitate games between clubs who could not travel to one another's countries. Both legs of the last-16 tie between Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach were played in Budapest.

It will be the first time the Champions League final has been staged in Hungary. The Puskas Arena was the venue for the 2023 Europa League final. Sevilla beat Roma on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

When is the 2026 UEFA Champions League final

The 2026 Champions League final is on Saturday, May 30.

There is a change to the usual kickoff time for this year. Rather than the traditional 9 p.m. CET (3 p.m. ET) slot, UEFA has decided to move it forward to 6 p.m. CET (12 p.m. ET). This is to make it more suitable for children and families to attend or watch on TV, and it makes it easier for fans to use public transport after the game.

Where are the next Champions League finals?

UEFA normally selects final venues in blocks of two to three years.

The decision for the 2027 Champions League final was delayed, with UEFA waiting for information from local authorities over refurbishment plans for the San Siro stadium in Milan.

The governing body decided in 2024 to reopen the bidding process to avoid complications around the San Siro redevelopment, with Atletico Madrid's Metropolitano Stadium and the Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan considered the favourites.
