Real Madrid will look to keep pressure on La Liga leaders Barcelona when they travel to in-form Real Betis in Spanish league action on Sunday.

Carlo Ancelotti's side are currently second in La Liga and can't afford to keep dropping points as they did last weekend in a 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid

Real Betis loom as a worthy challenge for Los Blancos with Manuel Pellegrini's team on a three-game winning run in La Liga and sitting in the European qualifying places.

Real Madrid must also pick themselves up quickly after a midweek Copa del Rey first-leg defeat to Barca, falling to a rare loss at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Sporting News breaks down all you need to know about the upcoming match below.

Real Betis vs Real Madrid lineups, team news

Manuel Pellegrini's Real Betis side is set to play this match without two key players in the form of Nabil Fekir and Sergio Canales, who are both out with injury. Midfielder Guido Rodriguez is expected to return though after serving a one-match suspension.

Real Betis projected starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Bravo (GK) — Ruibal, Pezzella, Felipe, Abner — Rodriguez, Carvalho — Henrique, Rodri, Juanmi — Perez.

After their midweek game against Barcelona, a bit of squad rotation for Real Madrid is possible for this one. The likes of Aurelien Tchouameni and Marco Asensio both started on the bench against Barca and loom as possible options to bring in. David Alaba, meanwhile, remains out with injury.

Real Madrid projected starting lineup (4-3-3): Courtois (GK) — Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, Nacho — Modric, Tchouameni, Ceballos  — Asensio, Benzema, Vincius Jr.

Real Betis vs Real Madrid betting odds

Despite a midweek loss, Real Madrid are the firm betting favourites for this clash.

Real Betis represent good value here at home, though with the draw perhaps the safer option and still providing plenty of potential profit.

Goals at both ends are expected with Betis themselves scoring eight goals in their past three games.
