Bradley Barcola is the main topic of conversation at PSG as the club begins talks to tie him down until 2030.
According to Le Parisien discussions will pick up after the international break with sporting advisor Luis Campos leading the negotiations.
Barcola signed a five year deal in 2023 but PSG want to add two more years and remove the doubts created by external interest.
That urgency comes from the summer when Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Chelsea each explored moves for the 23-year-old
Bayern saw him as a replacement for Kingsley Coman but PSG refused to negotiate and Bayern signed Luis Diaz instead.
Paris don’t want a repeat and are working to protect their investment before next summer’s transfer window.

Barcola scored 14 goals and 11 assists in 34 Ligue 1 games last season. He was sometimes benched for Ousmane Dembele or Desire Doue which made his future uncertain.
This season things have changed with Barcola starting every match and with Dembele and Doue out for few weeks, he is expected to form a three man frontline with Goncalo Ramos and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

He reinforced his case during the break by scoring for France in a 2-0 win over Ukraine. The Frenchman has also looked decent for the Luis Enrique's side this season, scoring one goal and assisting one in four appearances across all competition.
His growing importance for club and country is why PSG reportedly want clarity on his contract before the season goes any further. Talks will continue in Paris where a long term extension is the main target.
