The Matildas will return to home soil on October 23 when they take on South American giants Brazil in a friendly at CommBank Stadium in Sydney.

Tony Gustavsson's side haven't played in Australia since February 2020 and will turn out in front of a strong crowd with capacity lifted to allow for up to 22,500 fans

The green and gold will be hoping they can return to winning ways after suffering a surprise 3-2 defeat against the Republic of Ireland in September.

Australia welcome Brazil to Western Sydney on Saturday night looking to get back on the right track ahead of a busy two years.

After finishing fourth at the Tokyo Olympics, the Matildas' recent loss against the Republic of Ireland mean they have now lost three straight games.

With the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup set to start in January and the 2023 Women's World Cup on the horizon, Gustavsson needs to get this side performing sooner rather than later.

Brazil, meanwhile, failed to get past the quarter-final stage in Tokyo but bounced back in September with consecutive wins against Argentina.

The Selecao are currently ranked seventh in the world with Australia sitting 11th but the Matildas have won the past five matches between the pair.

How to watch Matildas vs Brazil in Australia

For viewers in Western Australia, the game will be shown on television via 10 Bold.

Paramount Plus is yet to show football since launching recently but is expected to replace 10Play next month.
