FFA Cup: Time and venue for final, fixtures, results, remaining clubs, key dates and how to watch image

After not taking place in 2020 due to COVID-19, the FFA Cup is back and about to add A-League clubs to the mix.

Following a series of qualifying games played across every state in Australia, the competition is close to locking in its final 32 clubs.

The FFA Cup is set for a big year as it welcomes a new broadcaster and looks to fill the football void over the A-League's long off-season.

History of the FFA Cup

Adelaide United are the current holders of the cup after winning the competition for a record third time in 2019.

Melbourne City, Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC have all also won the FFA Cup once with the Sky Blues and Perth Glory losing two finals.

Earlier this year, Shaun Robinson scored the competition's fastest ever goal after netting inside 12 seconds while playing for Nerang Soccer Club.

The FFA Cup was founded in 2014 with Adelaide United winning the inaugural final after beating Perth Glory 1-0.

Football Australia CEO James Johnson confirmed in July this year that the FFA Cup will be getting a new name to be revealed at this year's final.

What does the winner of the FFA Cup get?

This year will see the winners of the FFA Cup earn a preliminary round slot in the AFC Champions League for the first time.

Previously a small amount of prize money was also handed out to clubs depending on how far they got in the tournament.
