During the Three Lions' 3-0 friendly win over Wales, Saka netted his 13th goal in an England shirt, making him Arsenal's highest-ever scoring player for England.

A trademark cut inside onto his left boot, curling it into the top corner, the 24-year-old's 20th-minute screamer, helped him eclipse the previous record of 12 goals set by Cliff Bastin in 1938.

"I started the season and picked up an injury, which kind of killed me a bit," Saka said following the win.

"I'm still not my sharpest but I'm starting to feel good again. I have scored in the past three games and I want to continue like that."

"I want to take the way I perform with Arsenal to England, perform better in games and be more effective.

"I was really gutted that I had to miss the last camp. Coming back into the camp and getting the opportunity to score is an amazing moment.

Saka and England will now travel to Riga to face Latvia in a World Cup qualifier. The Three Lions sit top of their group on 15 points, four points clear of Albania with a game in hand.

A win over Latvia will secure their spot in the 2026 World Cup.

Arsenal's top scorers for England

Saka sits at the top of Arsenal's list, with the next highest active Gunners player, Declan Rice, with three England goals.
