Melbourne City star Jamie Maclaren has won his fifth career A-League Golden Boot and his fourth consecutively.

The Melbourne City striker finished the regular season on 24 goals after playing 26 matches

Fellow Socceroos striker Jason Cummings was a considerable eight goals behind.

Wellington Phoenix's Oskar Zawada rounds out the podium.

A-League Men pre-season odds to win Golden Boot

Defending Golden Boot winner Jamie Maclaren was the pre-season $3.25 favourite to claim the title again in 2022/23, according to Ladbrokes.

Western United striker Aleksandar Prijovic loomed as his closest rival at $5.50 with Newcastle Jets forward Beka Mikeltadze also viewed as a $7.50 contender. 

Marquee man Nani was given rather generous $9.00 odds to win the Golden Boot in his first (and only) ALM season.

Bobo (Sydney FC) has the record for the most goals scored in a single campaign with 27.

Jamie Maclaren (Melbourne City) has finished atop the A-League Men scoring chart in four different seasons, more than any player all time. Besart Berisha (Melbourne Victory) and Shane Smeltz (Wellington/Gold Coast) follow with two scoring titles each.

He also scored the most goals without penalties (13) ahead of Melbourne Victory's Nick D'Agostino (10).
