Liverpool have welcomed some new faces at Anfield in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Along with new arrivals, the Reds have also parted ways with some, while reports suggest that more departures are on the way. And the one who is currently nearing the Anfield exit is Darwin Nunez.

Nunez joined Liverpool from Benfica in 2022, and his current contract there is valid until the summer of 2028. However, the Uruguayan star has not been able to make his place in head coach Arne Slot's pecking order last season.

Nunez started in only eight of the 30 appearances he made in the Premier League for the Reds in the 2024/25 campaign. With uncertainties about his position in Slot's squad and potential lack of gametime in the upcoming season, Liverpool have reportedly given the green light to his departure.

Amid this situation, Al-Hilal emerged as one of the top suitors for Nunez. Earlier this month, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported that the Saudi Pro League side and Liverpool have been in talks over a permanent move for the 26-year-old star, who was also in discussions over personal terms.

Now, according to Tavolieri, Al-Hilal are closing in on signing Nunez and have made him a massive offer.

What are Al-Hilal offering Liverpool's Darwin Nunez?

Al-Hilal have reportedly offered Nunez a three-year contract, which would see him earn up to $25m(€21m/£18m) per season.

Along with Nunez potentially receiving a sum of £346k per week upon joining Al-Hilal, the Saudi club are also meeting Liverpool's reported demand of £50m for the midfielder.

Nunez has netted a total of 40 goals and provided 26 assists for Liverpool in 143 appearances across three seasons. The report also suggested that Al-Hilal are keen on finalizing the signing by this weekend.
