Former Chelsea striker claims to be in 'love' with underrated new signing image

Chelsea made a host of signings in the recently concluded summer transfer window, with the likes of Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Estevao Willian all joining the club.

However, Joao Pedro has inarguably been the most impressive signing of the lot. He has scored two goals in three Premier League matches so far and made an instant impact for the Blues.

The Brazilian’s performances have not gone unnoticed by the fans, pundits and opposition managers and have been earning him rave reviews from all in equal measure.

Ahead of the recently concluded game against Fulham, Marco Silva named Pedro as one of Chelsea’s biggest threats, and his fear was vindicated as the player scored Chelsea’s first goal in the game.

Now, former Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge has come out singing Pedro’s praises in public while calling him the most underrated signing of the summer.

The former England international also claimed to be in ‘love’ with the new Chelsea signing.

While Estevao has been an exciting addition to this Chelsea squad, Pedro is the player who has really caught Sturridge‘s attention.

When asked to name his most underrated signing this summer, Sturridge said: “I just love the signing of Joao Pedro, someone who I think will score a lot of goals for Chelsea, a lot.”

The former Chelsea striker is not the only one who is impressed with Pedro’s instant impact. Earlier this week, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher also hailed the signing of Pedro.

Carragher then went a step further and claimed that Pedro is a perfect signing for a club like Chelsea.
