Aston Villa are in the market for a forward and that search has led them to Ligue 1.
Villa have identified Olympique Lyonnais striker Georges Mikautadze as a potential target with journalist Marc Mechenoua reporting that the Premier League club submitted a €25m [$29m] bid.
Reports said that negotiations are active and personal terms have already been agreed between Villa and the 24-year-old Georgian international.
Mikautadze has been one of the most sought-after strikers in recent weeks, drawing interest from Brentford, Villarreal, Burnley, and a Saudi Arabian club.
According to L’Equipe, Lyon are holding out for €35m [$40m], above Villa’s current bid.
