Week 13 Fantasy Kicker Rankings

That sure was a tricky move by the NFL to give us a week with no scheduled byes only to follow it up with the final two byes of the season. Talk about lulling fantasy football owners into a false sense of security. But not only do we get the rug pulled out from under us this week, we also lose two solid kickers in our Week 13 fantasy kicker rankings, including top-five staple Joey Slye.

With Slye and Tampa's Ryan Succop out, some fantasy owners will undoubtedly be forced to find new kickers. Fortunately, there are several good options, as three guys in our top-12, Tyler Bass (@ 49ers), Michael Badgley (vs. Patriots), and Graham Gano (@ Seahawks), are owned in relatively few leagues. Many other top options (Daniel Carlson, Matt Prater, Rodrigo Blankenship) are owned in fewer than 70 percent of leagues, so you might be able to find them on your free agent wire, too.

WEEK 13 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST

As always this time of year, weather will be a key factor when selecting your kicker. We've had a few relatively quiet weather weeks in a row, and you just know some winter storms will rear their ugly heads in the near future. You can never go wrong with an indoors kicker, and this week someone like Chase McLaughlin (@ Vikings) makes for a good pivot if you're in a late-week bind. Not only is he indoors, but he's also facing a Vikings team allowing the most fantasy points per game to kickers. You could argue he should be even higher in our rankings, but trusting anyone other than James Robinson in Jacksonville's offense is always a roll of the dice.

WEEK 13 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST

As you can probably tell with our rankings, we favor what project to be good kicking enviroments, but we're also taking into account matchups. Fantasy points allowed aren't quite as reliable on a week-to-week basis for kickers, but there must be a reason teams like the Vikings, Jets, Broncos, Jaguars, Bears, Cowboys, and 49ers, among others, rank so highly, so if you need a tie-breaker when deciding on a kicker, you can point to the stats.

WEEK 13 DFS TOURNAMENT LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel

Or you can just close your eyes and click on a guy. In the end, it will probably work out the same. But you're the one who keeps playing in leagues with kickers, so you should be used to it by now.
