The 13th ICC ODI Men's World Cup champion is about to be crowned, as India brings the curtain down on the 2023 edition of the tournament on November 19.
The tournament has brought together 10 of the best cricket teams on the planet to do battle for the coveted trophy.
But once the action is complete, fans will quickly start anticipating the next edition of the World Cup, which will take place in the African continent in 2027.

When is the next ODI Cricket World Cup?
The next ODI Men's World Cup will take place in 2027, and is likely to be played in the months of October and November, similar to this year's tournament dates.
However, the ICC is yet to announce the official dates and will release the fixtures as we get closer to the tournament.
Where is the next ODI Cricket World Cup?
The 2027 edition of the ODI Men's World Cup will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
Zimbabwe and South Africa have automatically qualified for the tournament due to hosting rights, but that isn't the case for Namibia. They will have to go through the standard qualification process, because they are not yet a complete ICC member.

ODI Cricket World Cup 2027 qualifying and format
A total of 14 teams will play in the 2027 tournament, as part of an expanded format. The last time 14 teams played in the tournament was in the 2003 World Cup.
The qualifying procedure for the 2027 World Cup will be the same as the 2003 event.
Once the teams are decided, the competing teams will then be divided into two groups. Each group will have three top teams who will move on to the Super Sixes stage. That will be followed by the semi-finals and the final.
