The next round of Sheffield Shield matches gets underway on Wednesday which means the resumption of The Great Australian Bat-Off.
With at least one spot in the Australian order up for grabs ahead of this summer's Ashes series, the contenders are fighting hard to push their case.
In the second round of Australia's domestic first-class competition, Victoria host New South Wales, Tasmania welcome Western Australia to Bellerive Oval and South Australia face off with Queensland.

Follow along as we bring you all the updates from around the grounds:
Victoria vs. New South Wales
- The Blues got off to a sharp start, with skipper Jack Edwards picking up three wickets, including that of Marcus Harris 4 (7), Campbell Kellaway 3 (22) and Oliver Peake 16 (19).
- Peter Handscomb 85 (144) did well to steady the ship, passing his half century in a nice partnership with Mitch Perry 66 (140).
- In the Blues' dig it was bad news bears for Sam Konstas 1(4), out lbw to Scott Boland.
- Kurtis Patterson 5 (16) also fell cheaply.
For the Vics, Marcus Harris remains an outside chance for Test selection, while Peter Handscomb ensured his name will be considered with a century against South Australia earlier this month.
Sam Konstas will be hoping to hang on to his spot at the top of the order for Australia with some runs, while Kurtis Patterson can also plead his case in the clash at the Junction Oval.
Tasmania vs. Western Australia
- Jake Weatherald 18 (33) started brightly but was undone by Aaron Hardie.
- For WA, Cameron Bancroft 3 (13) was undone early off Jackson Bird's bowling.
- Two-Test West Australian Hilton Cartwright 36 (41) was caught behind, slashing wide of off-stump.
Jake Weatherald will be looking to build on his twin half centuries in Tassie's Shield opener, while Cameron Bancroft has previously had a taste of Test cricket.
South Australia vs. Queensland
- Henry Hunt 0 (6) was bowled by Jack Wildermuth in a big blow to his slim chances of a Test call up.
- Michael Neser was able to break a 67-run partnership for the second wicket, dismissing Nathan McSweeney for 41 (90).
- Alex Carey 1 (4) was caught on the drive early in his innings.
- Neser went on to clean up the tail as he finished with four scalps, forcing Usman Khawaja 22*(34) to face the music late in the day.
Perhaps the most intriguing match up of the three, a host of players on each side will fancy their Test chances with some big scores.
Jake Lehmann and Henry Hunt are coming off tons, while Nathan McSweeney and Jason Sangha have made runs while representing Australia A recently.
For Queensland, Marnus Labuschagne will be hoping to continue his stellar form, while Usman Khawaja, whose opening spot in the Test side appears safe, would love to find some form.
