Australia's red-ball skipper Pat Cummins, who is set to miss the opening encounter in Perth, has now revealed his Ashes XI, but with a slight twist. Cummins decided to go ahead with only non-current Australian players.
'I'll only pick Australian players,' says Cummins as he reveals his dream Ashes XI
In an exclusive chat with ABC Sport, Cummins was asked to pick his all-time Ashes XI. The Australian skipper made it clear that he won't involve any current player in the side, as he has decided to go ahead with some of the Aussie legends whom he grew up watching and idolized.
"I am only gonna go Aussie players and non-current players, and most likely it's going to start from about 1999 - Cummins," mentioned Cummins

When is the Ashes 2025/26 starting?
The Ashes 2025/26 is set to take place on Australian soil. The first Test will be played from November 21st at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
